Collie Battery Energy Storage System (CBESS) – Synergy and Neoen
Delivered extensive high voltage termination, testing and commissioning works supporting Western Australia’s largest renewable energy initiative. Works included over 2,000 terminations, comprehensive 33 kV and 330 kV testing, full earth grid verification and commissioning of switchyards and switchboards, all completed on time with zero incidents and full client commendation.

Chevron – Barrow Island HV Upgrade Project
Executed complex 132 kV and 6.6 kV Connex terminations, DAC and Partial Discharge testing for Chevron’s Barrow Island upgrade.

All works were performed using in-house certified resources and the only HV DAC 300 system of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, delivering high-quality outcomes and zero incidents.

Woodside / Bechtel – Pluto Train 2 HV Commissioning Project
Provided full commissioning and testing of the 33 kV system at Pluto Train 2, including IEC 61850 protection relay testing, Hipot and PD verification, transformer testing, and energisation support. The eight-month engagement involved a dedicated team of engineers, completing all works safely, on schedule and to OEM standards.

    Andrew Halpin Technical Director  With over 20 years of industry experience, Andrew Halpin is a highly respected technical leader in Australia’s high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical services sector. As the founder and Technical Director of Techcorp Services (TCS), he brings deep technical knowledge, innovative thinking and strategic direction to the organisation. Following the acquisition of HV Cablepower (HVC), Andrew has played a key role in integrating and strengthening the combined service offering. His leadership ensures the highest standards of safety, performance and project delivery across every engagement. Andrew’s career began with hands-on experience in power systems and rapidly progressed through senior technical and leadership roles. He holds specialist expertise in HV testing and commissioning, protection relay configuration, transformer diagnostics and complex substation works delivered across the mining, energy, utilities and infrastructure sectors. His strong problem-solving acumen and technical capability have made him a trusted advisor in high-risk and remote environments. Under Andrew’s leadership, TCS and HVC have grown into trusted providers for Tier 1 clients across Western Australia and internationally. He remains directly involved in project delivery, mentoring and client engagement, with an operational philosophy grounded in engineering excellence and clear communication. His ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams under pressure has positioned TCS and HVC as leading specialists in high-voltage electrical solutions.
    Kaushal Shah General Manager Kaushal Shah is a senior electrical engineer with over 15 years of experience in the high-voltage (HV) sector across Australia. A graduate of Deakin University with a Bachelor of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Kaushal began his career in HV testing and commissioning before expanding into project estimation, commercial strategy and business development. His technical background combined with a strong commercial focus has helped drive the sustainable growth of both Techcorp Services and HV Cablepower. As General Manager, Kaushal plays a key role in shaping company direction, overseeing financial planning, leading major tender submissions and managing high-value client relationships. His ability to align project delivery with business objectives, optimise resource planning and ensure quality outcomes has contributed to the successful execution of major HV projects across the mining, utilities, energy and infrastructure sectors. Kaushal is a strategic thinker with a hands-on leadership style, working closely with technical teams and clients alike to ensure consistent delivery and operational excellence. His commitment to client satisfaction, commercial discipline and long-term value creation continues to position TCS and HVC as trusted partners for complex, high-voltage electrical solutions.
    Mario Clemente Operations Manager Mario Clemente is a highly experienced operations leader with over 30 years in the electrical industry, specialising in high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems. Throughout his career, he has delivered major infrastructure and industrial projects across the mining, oil and gas, energy and utilities sectors. His deep technical background is matched by a proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary teams and maintain high standards in demanding environments. Mario is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business, coordinating workforce deployment, managing tender input and supporting business development activities. He plays a critical role in aligning project delivery with strategic goals, ensuring operational efficiency, client satisfaction and commercial performance. His leadership ensures smooth coordination across engineering, commissioning, cable jointing and testing functions—maintaining control from planning through to handover. Mario leads with a hands-on approach and is widely respected for his commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement. He upholds a strong safety culture across all work fronts, drives compliance with ISO standards and ensures that all work is completed to the highest professional and technical standards. His ability to balance field execution with business oversight makes him a key contributor to the company’s reputation for dependable and high-quality service.
    Dave Boyd Project Manager  David Boyd is a highly experienced high-voltage (HV) cable jointing specialist with over 30 years in the electrical industry. Originally trained in the UK with Yorkshire Electricity, David began his career as a transmission cable jointer, developing deep technical expertise in HV systems. After relocating to Australia in 2002, he joined Western Power, where he became ABB-accredited for 132kV cable systems and received additional training with LG Cables in South Korea. His career spans a wide range of major underground transmission projects across Western Australia. David has led HV cable jointing and termination works from 11kV up to 500kV, including XLPE and oil-filled transmission systems. He brings a practical, hands-on leadership style to his work, with a strong focus on safety, technical accuracy and quality assurance. His international project experience includes work in India, New Zealand, Fiji, the Philippines, the Cook Islands, Sri Lanka and the Dominican Republic, complemented by advanced HV training in Sweden, Switzerland and Germany. This global perspective has shaped his ability to manage diverse teams and deliver under varying technical and regulatory conditions. As the former Director of HV Cablepower, David was instrumental in building the company’s capabilities and reputation prior to its acquisition by Techcorp Services in 2022. He continues to play a vital role in day-to-day operations, mentoring field teams, maintaining high work standards and ensuring seamless project delivery. His dedication to safety, open communication and on-site leadership has earned him respect across the industry and contributed to the company’s strong client relationships and consistent delivery performance.
    Abdullah Sharif Engineering Manager Abdullah Sharif is an experienced Engineering Manager with more than 15 years of expertise in high-voltage (HV) testing, commissioning and protection systems. A Member of Engineers Australia (MIE Aust), he has led the delivery of complex electrical and control system projects across the energy, mining and utilities sectors. His core competencies include substation commissioning, protection relay configuration, HV diagnostic testing and functional verification of critical systems. He has worked extensively on major projects involving IEC 61850-based protection schemes, end-to-end system testing and advanced diagnostic programs across 132 kV and 220 kV installations. Abdullah has also played a key role in developing commissioning strategies and system test plans for large-scale renewables and LNG facilities, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), GIS yards and transmission substations. In his role as Engineering Manager, Abdullah is responsible for overseeing technical execution, supporting project planning and ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and to specification, drawing on deep experience with Australian standards and leading testing methodologies. Abdullah is known for his structured leadership style, collaborative approach and technical precision. He is committed to continuous improvement and professional development, contributing to high-performance project outcomes and fostering a strong engineering culture.
